to apply for the job

We are looking for a property technician with at least Class B electrical competence, who wants to take responsibility for ensuring that our properties in the Stockholm area have stable, safe, and well-functioning electrical systems.

The recruitment is a collaboration with Jefferson Wells, but you will be directly employed by ByggVesta. This is not a consultancy position.

ByggVesta Property Management is now launching a new Stockholm team consisting of six own property technicians with various specialized competencies. This is an opportunity for you if you want to be involved from the very beginning and influence how the team works, set up structures, and contribute to shaping the culture, while also receiving modern tools and new vehicles to work with.

Currently, we manage just under twenty properties with rental apartments and student housing in the Stockholm area. The portfolio comprises a total of approximately 2,650 apartments, with properties of varying sizes, ranging from under 50 to over 400 apartments.

The operations are based out of our local offices in Kista and Nacka, with the headquarters on Kungsholmen. ByggVesta is an established and financially stable company with a long-term presence in several locations in Sweden.

About the role

This is an operational and independent role where you work closely with both technology and tenants. You are responsible for electrical issues in the daily property management work, from troubleshooting and emergency measures to planned interventions and ongoing maintenance. The role involves significant personal responsibility, while you are part of a team with broad expertise in property management.

This is not just about solving problems when they arise, but also about contributing to stable operations over time by identifying improvements and working proactively.

There is also an opportunity to take on a supervisory role if you have experience in this area.

Your daily tasks

With electrical competence in a property environment, you work broadly with the electrical systems in our residences. You handle both minor measures and more complex troubleshooting, and are often the one who can quickly determine what needs to be done and how.

Examples of tasks:
  • Troubleshooting and rectification of electrical faults in apartments and common areas
  • Minor installations, adaptations, and replacements
  • Ongoing supervision and maintenance of electrical systems
  • Coordination and follow-up of external suppliers for larger projects
  • Contribute to developing working methods and preventing recurring problems
  • Documentation and reporting
  • Support colleagues on technical matters and perform various service tasks as time permits

Property Technician

A role close to the tenant

You meet tenants in their homes, often in situations where something is not working. Your ability to build trust, explain what needs to be done, and deliver a safe solution is an important part of the job. This makes the role both technical and service-oriented, where customer service and professional skill go hand in hand.

We are looking for you who

Have a background in electricity and feel confident working independently in an operations and property management environment. Class B electrical competence is a requirement. Electrical education or experience as an electrician is meritorious, but the most important thing is your practical competence and your ability to troubleshoot and find solutions in everyday life.

You are skilled at communicating in Swedish and English with our tenants.

As a person, you are:

  • Thorough and safety-conscious
  • Self-starting and responsible
  • Solution-oriented in your approach to work
  • Service-oriented and confident in meetings with people

You take ownership of your tasks and ensure the job is done right, from the initial analysis to the final solution.
