About the Service Technician Role

In the role of Service Technician at Mitutoyo, you will primarily work on-site at customer locations, handling the installation, calibration, and preventive maintenance of the company's measuring machines. The role involves ensuring that the equipment maintains high precision and operates according to specifications within the customer's operations.

The work is largely field-based and involves travel within Sweden and Norway. You are responsible for planning, executing, and completing your assignments, often spanning several days per installation. The role entails close contact with customers combined with support from service coordinators and internal technical functions.

Your main responsibilities:

• Perform installation, calibration, and preventive maintenance of measuring machines at customer sites.
• Measure and analyze machine status and adjust according to technical specifications.
• Car out repairs and restore equipment as needed.
• Prepare and deliver measurement and service reports after completing assignments.
• Execute assignments independently from start to final delivery in close dialogue with the customer.

About You

We are looking for someone with a few years of experience in a technical role, a strong technical interest, and good mechanical understanding. You have a relevant technical education, at least at the upper secondary level, and communicate fluently in both Swedish and English, both orally and in writing. The position also requires a valid driver's license (Category B).

To succeed in this role, we see that you are self-motivated and enjoy planning and driving your work forward independently. You are detail-oriented and quality-conscious with a strong technical interest and a desire to understand how technology works. Since you work closely with customers, you are service-oriented, communicative, and have a solution-oriented approach to work.

Key requirements for the role:

• A few years of experience in a technical role, along with a strong technical interest and good mechanical understanding.
• Relevant technical education at least at the upper secondary level.
• Good proficiency in Swedish and English, both oral and written.
• Valid driver's license (Category B).

Merits:

• Experience in metrology.
• Background in manufacturing or workshop industry.
• Previous experience as a traveling service technician.
• Experience with installation, maintenance, or service of technical equipment.
• Familiarity with working in CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.
