We are currently looking for several mechanics for Muskövarvet. If you enjoy environments where things rumble, spin, and move – and you know how they work – this is the role for you. This is a broad position where you will work with everything from engine installations and troubleshooting to all kinds of mechanical assembly, inspections, and repairs.

The work can involve almost anything with a mechanical function on a vessel. You should not be deterred by tight spaces, have an eye for detail, and feel comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.

Note: Muskövarvet is a security-controlled workplace. This means you must be a Swedish citizen, have a clean criminal record, and pass a security clearance with register check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585).

• Repairs, new installations, commissioning, and troubleshooting of engines and technical systems

• Independent work according to instructions and drawings

• Documentation of completed work

• Contributing to teamwork and supporting colleagues when needed

Working Hours: Daytime

We are looking for someone with a few years of experience in mechanical work, preferably with a focus on marine engines such as Scania or Volvo Penta. You have good experience with engine repairs, technical installations, and troubleshooting. Additionally, if you have experience working with heavy vehicles like buses or trucks, it is a big plus!

You are self-motivated, detail-oriented, and enjoy practical work. You understand the importance of following instructions and documenting your work. You thrive in varied environments, sometimes out on the water and often in tight spaces – that is where the job happens.

• Relevant technical education or equivalent experience

• Good knowledge of repair, installation, and troubleshooting of machinery systems

• Ability to follow instructions and document completed work

• Experience with Scania or Volvo marine diesels

• Experience from the marine sector or similar industries

• Experience working with heavy vehicles

Muskövarvet AB is a sought-after and recognized maintenance and repair shipyard established in 2005 and part of the defense group Saab since 2018. The operations are mainly conducted in the Naval Port on Muskö, approximately 60 km south of Stockholm.
