We are now looking for a Quality Developer who wants to be a key figure in strengthening the quality within our preschools and schools. With us, you will have a strategic and varied role where you work closely with administrative management, principals, and operations to create conditions for children's and students' learning and development. As a Quality Developer, you are placed in the staff of the Child and Education Administration and work directly on behalf of the Administrative Director. You are part of the administration's management group and play a central role in developing, coordinating, and monitoring systematic quality work within the administration.

The position involves close collaboration with principals, managers, political leadership, and other functions within the municipality. You function as a qualified support in development and quality issues and contribute to translating national and municipal goals into concrete operational development.

Responsibilities

In the role of Quality Developer, you will among other things:

  • Coordinate, develop, and monitor systematic quality work within preschool and school.
  • Support principals and managers in analysis, follow-up, and development work.
  • Prepare materials, analyses, reports, and decision support documents for management and committees.
  • Drive and coordinate the administration's work based on the Education Act and curricula.
  • Develop and ensure quality of routines, working methods, and processes.
  • Be responsible for monitoring results, statistics, and key figures, and translating these into development initiatives.
  • Coordinate work with state grants, including applications, follow-up, and reporting.
  • Conduct investigations, issue statements on draft legislation, and other qualified writings.
  • Perform various administrative tasks.

The position offers a combination of strategic development work, analysis, and operational support.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a relevant university degree, preferably with a focus on education and pedagogy, or other education that the employer deems equivalent.

We would like you to have experience of:

  • Quality and development work.
  • Follow-up, analysis, and operational development.
  • Work in a politically governed organization or public sector.
  • Project management or process leadership.
  • Preparing reports, investigations, and decision support documents.

It is meritorious if you have:

  • Experience from school or educational activities.
  • Knowledge of education legislation and systematic quality work.
  • Good knowledge of statistics, analysis, and digital tools.
  • Within the framework of the National Minority Languages Act, Gällivare Municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli, and Finnish. Knowledge of any of these languages is meritorious when applying for employment in Gällivare Municipality.

To succeed in the role, you are an analytical, structured, and development-oriented person who is driven by creating improvements and developing operations. You work independently and take initiative while having an easy time collaborating with others and creating engagement, participation, and good relationships. You have a strategic approach and a good ability to see the big picture, analyze needs, and translate them into concrete solutions. Through your sensitive and collaborative working style, you contribute to creating trust and good collaboration with both colleagues and managers and other partners. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Requirement for employment: extract from the police criminal record.

Permanent, Full-time. Probation period may apply.

Monthly salary, we apply individual salary setting – please state salary expectations in your application.
