About the Unit

The Southern Military Region (MR S) is one of four military regions in Sweden, representing a permanent military geographical division of Sweden's territory. The Military Region is responsible for territorial command and coordination of operations, total defense planning, defense planning, intelligence and security services, and support to society. The responsibility also covers production and operational command of MR S's five Military Region Groups and their eleven Home Guard battalions.

The MR S Headquarters is located in Revingehed and is staffed by both civilian employees and military personnel from all branches of the armed forces. The work is carried out in multiple dimensions, often within the framework of operations involving several branches of the armed forces and allied countries, and always with a need for civil-military cooperation. In a military region, the Armed Forces and civil society meet. Therefore, one must understand the Armed Forces' role, have good situational awareness, and a holistic understanding of how society is organized and functions. We also handle tasks that are largely subject to secrecy and require a high degree of personal integrity.

Main Responsibilities

As a Staff Assistant in the MR S Headquarters, you take the next step in your career in the Armed Forces. We tailor a program that may include service in several sections with associated training, all based on your preferences and abilities as well as the headquarters' needs. We are currently looking for a Staff Assistant for MR S J6 and its support unit, with a main focus on communications and command and control systems. The role involves, among other things, working in the headquarters' command support system and editorial work in the preparation of orders, reports, and plans, as well as supporting the headquarters with other administrative tasks such as quartermaster duties, orders, and dispatch services. The work is varied and requires the ability to switch pace quickly and good teamwork skills while maintaining calm.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

• Class B driver's license
• Completed upper secondary education
• Good knowledge of MS Office
• Completed basic military training
• Good ability to express oneself in speech and writing in Swedish and English

Personal Attributes

As a Staff Assistant, you have a talent for working according to clear processes and enjoy completing what you start. You have an unpretentious attitude and can easily adapt to different constellations and situations. You have good analytical skills and are confident in performing under pressure. We consider it advantageous if you plan to apply for the professional officer or specialist officer training and can envision a future career in the Armed Forces. Other Information

Employment type: This is a fixed-term employment of up to eight years, with the possibility of extension. The employment may begin with a six-month probationary period.

Employment level: Full-time. Evening and weekend duty may occur.
