Southern Scanian Regiment P 7 is now recruiting soldiers to the 71st Battalion, which currently has the main focus of staffing Sweden's contribution to the multinational brigade in Latvia (LNLV27).

The position involves an employment at P 7 71st Battalion where you will be part of a historic task for the regiment and the Swedish Armed Forces as a whole, contributing to Sweden's activities within the framework of NATO.

We are looking for you who have completed basic training in one of the positions below with passing grades:

• Pansarterrängbil 360 gunner (Pbv 360 skytt)
• Pansarterrängbil 360 driver (Pbv 360 förare)
• Combat Vehicle 90 gunner (Stridsfordon 90 skytt)
• Recovery soldier Combat Vehicle 90 (Bärgningssoldat stridsfordon 90)
• Medical group leader bv410 (Sjukvårdsgruppchef bv410)

There is no possibility to train for a new position; you must apply with the basic training you have already completed.

Main duties

The current planning direction is that the 71st Battalion will conduct operations within the framework of LNLV. The operation initially includes a training period in Sweden during autumn 2026, followed by operations in Latvia during spring 2027. Finally, the conclusion phase of LNLV will be conducted, after which the employment continues as GSS/K as part of the unit at P 7.

Employment will be offered as GSS/K (General Service Contract / Reserve).

The employment means that you will be war-placed at P 7, at the wartime unit to which you are employed.

Start date according to agreement, latest Friday 2026-08-07.

All candidates for the position must undergo physical tests and security screening interviews. If you proceed further in the recruitment process, you will need to undergo a fitness assessment prior to employment and deployment. The Southern Scanian Regiment is also known as P 7. P stands for "pansar" (armor) because the regiment primarily uses armored vehicles. We conduct military basic training for conscripts in ground combat, mechanized, and motorized combat supported by our main vehicles: Strv 122, CV9040C, and Pbv 360.
P 7 has full-time and part-time personnel serving in various positions nationally and internationally.
