We are now looking for a specialist officer for the position of Group Commander at the 4th Regional Security Squadron (4. RSS) located in Revingehed.

About the District

The Southern Military District (MR S) is one of four military districts, representing a permanent military-geographical division of Sweden's territory. The military district is responsible for territorial command & coordination of missions and operations, total defence planning, defence planning, intelligence and security service, as well as support to society. The responsibility also includes production and mission management of MR S's five Military District Groups with their eleven associated home guard battalions.

In a military district, the Swedish Armed Forces and civil society meet. Therefore, we need to understand the role of the Armed Forces, have good environmental monitoring, and a holistic understanding of how society is organized and functions.

4th Regional Security Squadron (4. RSS)

The 4th Regional Security Squadron is a wartime unit undergoing growth, intended to operate here and now and in all subsequent typical situations. The unit is one of the Commander MR S's most important tools for creating a regional situation picture regarding protected values and threats to these. The task of 4. RSS is to counter security-threatening activities against the Swedish Armed Forces' or allies' protected values, as well as our critical dependencies. This is done, for example, by the squadron;

• Cooperating with actors within the region who can contribute to a consolidated situation picture
• Gathering information using all the squadron's capabilities, primarily through questioning, investigation, surveillance, and technical collection
• Producing material to support planning as well as decision-making material for C MR, MR staff, or supported commander
• Supporting units and military bases with activities that raise the security protection level with various types of security protection measures

Main Responsibilities

In the position of Group Commander, you are responsible for the independent leadership of your group. The group's tasks are usually solved in patrol form, with a composition where commanders and soldiers come from all K-parts of the squadron. You will thus lead not only your own soldiers but also other groups. Complex tasks are often solved in independent combat pairs with high demands on autonomous behavior and exceptional judgment, which places special demands on your leadership and your ability to build trust and confidence – both internally and externally. It also occurs that the unit's tasks are solved in close cooperation with other organizations, both within and outside the Swedish Armed Forces. The three main orientations as a Group Commander at 4. RSS are commander of the sensor group, field security group, or security market group.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

• Specialist officer with experience from, for example (but not limited to) security units, intelligence units, MP units, reconnaissance units, or ranger units
• Passed physical tests conducted during selection tests
• Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in both Swedish and English
• Good administrative skills
• Driver's license, at least class B

The Southern Military District (MR S) is a wartime unit and an organizational unit where the Commander and Staff are located in Revingehed. The organization consists of the Commander with staff, five military district groups for education and support of the home guard, as well as approx. 7,000 home guard soldiers organized in eleven battalions and a number of independent units. C MR S with regional staff leads subordinate units, cooperates with regional and local actors, leads security and intelligence services, and supports operational and tactical commanders who solve tasks within the region.
