We are looking for an officer to serve as Head of the Implementation Section at the Logistics Unit.

About the unit

Logistics Unit Revingehed leads the planning, implementation, and follow-up of logistics and support activities for combat units, schools, staffs, and other organizational units within the Swedish Armed Forces. We ensure that the wartime and training organization has access to water, food, fuel, ammunition, vehicles, and equipment to conduct operations in peace, crisis, and war.

The Logistics Unit includes, among other things, the Staff, Technical Division, Supply Division, and Mobilization Division. The Logistics Unit is also responsible for the national support to our units in Latvia (NSE).

The Implementation Section in the staff plans, leads, and follows up on tasks and processes that the logistics unit is to implement. The staff is led by the Chief of Staff and is divided into an implementation section and a planning section. The Implementation Section works closely with the Planning Section and collaborates in various areas to ensure the unit's divisions solve their tasks in an effective and efficient manner.

Main responsibilities

As Head of the Implementation Section, you are responsible for and lead the operational operations of your section. You are meticulous, structured, and have an easy time collaborating with other employees. We are looking for you who want to develop as a leader and manager, you are passionate about improvement work and developing your personnel and operations. Regardless of background, it is important that you are meticulous and non-hierarchical, which also means that you are a good team player. You are flexible and can handle temporary peaks in workload without becoming stressed, and possess a good ability to make decisions. You are caring without being afraid to set demands, follow up, and take action when necessary.

You ensure that the section functions efficiently and delivers high-quality work as requested. You are responsible for the planning, execution, and follow-up of operations and ensure that necessary prioritizations are made. You participate in the staff's leadership group and collaborate with the section chief for planning and coordinate operations with subordinate divisions and parallel units in the garrison. You work with staffing and competence development of your section's personnel.

Qualifications

  • Officer - Specialist Officer (OR7-8) or Tactical Officer (OF1-2).
  • Good knowledge of spoken and written Swedish and English.
  • Category B driver's license.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Experience from management level or experience working in a management team.

Merits

Information about the Swedish Armed Forces and the recruiting unit: The Southern Scanian Regiment (P 7) is located approximately 20 kilometers east of Lund. The regiment's main task is to produce and maintain combat units for the Army. In addition, we have the task of setting up and staffing LNLV (Battalion to NATO's multinational brigade in Latvia) - an annual recurring task with approximately 550 professional officers, soldiers, and civilians. The unit trains between 300-500 conscripts annually in ground combat, and our main weapon systems and vehicles consist of Stridsvagn 122, Stridsfordon 90, and Pansarterrängbil 360. At P 7, there is both continuously and temporarily serving personnel.

An employment with us involves placement in a security class. Swedish citizenship is usually required.
