The Role of the Psychologist

The psychologist in the neuropsychiatric team plays a crucial role in working with young children through developmental assessments and neuropsychiatric investigations. These assessments provide increased understanding of the child's strengths and needs. Based on knowledge of the child's functioning, advice and support are given to guardians, as well as support to networks such as preschools and schools.

By participating in team discussions and network meetings, the psychologist contributes expertise regarding the child's cognitive and emotional development. We collaborate with guardians and other professionals to create early and sustainable interventions that promote the child's development.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who are an experienced licensed psychologist with experience working with children with autism. We prefer that you have experience with investigations of young children in preschool age, as well as experience working with various forms of parental support, positive behavioral support, or other types of interventions related to the target group. We appreciate if you tell us which parts attract you within habilitation work in your cover letter.

As a person, you have a good understanding of how humans absorb knowledge based on their prerequisites and can adapt your communication based on who you meet. You are a calm, secure, and stable person with good self-awareness, have good collaboration skills, and an empathetic approach. Your work effort as a psychologist is very significant for those we meet.

To ensure you thrive with us, it is good that you have a genuine interest in working with Habiliteringscentrum's target groups. Supervision and regular professional meetings are available for you as a psychologist. You always have close access to your team and your psychologist colleagues as several psychologists work within child, youth, and adult habilitation, both at the unit and the clinic.

To create good conditions for flexibility, we apply annual working hours, which means that you can to some extent influence your working time and planning yourself. Additionally, a smaller part of the work can be performed remotely.

The position is full-time, but the degree of employment can be discussed. Start date by agreement.
