Job Responsibilities

We have 10 spots left in the following areas:

Elderly Care, Care and Support Housing (Elderly Housing)

The tasks consist of personal care, such as helping with toilet and shower situations, dressing and undressing, administering medication, assisting with meals, as well as service tasks like laundry, simple cooking, and social interaction. Various activities are organized at the residences, such as playing games, reading books, listening to music, playing bingo, reading the daily newspaper, baking, cooking, spa activities, etc.

Elderly Care, Ordinary Housing (Home Care)

The work involves supporting individuals in their own apartments, row houses, or villas. The tasks consist of personal care, such as helping with toilet and shower situations, dressing and undressing, administering medication, assisting with meals, as well as service tasks like laundry, simple cooking, and social interaction. Large parts of the work are performed independently. We have both bicycle and car districts depending on which home care area you work in.

Functional Support (Group Housing, Service Housing, Short-term Housing for Children and Youth, and Personal Assistance)

In group housing, several residents live in their own apartments. Your responsibilities include caring for and supporting the resident with personal hygiene, dressing and undressing, laundry, meals, cleaning, social contacts, and support during leisure activities. Alternative communication methods such as pictures, signs, and symbols are used in the work.

Service housing is an intermediate form between independent living in your own apartment and an apartment in group housing. Here, you act as a social support and help the residents gain structure in their daily lives. A difference from group housing is that the care tasks are less extensive in service housing.

At short-term housing for children/youth, families and relatives get respite by having the child/youth at the facility for one or more days during weekdays or weekends, or through leisure activities in the mornings, afternoons, and holidays. The focus is on social interaction, activating children and youth, and some care.

As a personal assistant, you work independently, and the job may include significant care tasks such as dressing and undressing, help with toilet and shower situations, lift assistance, catheter flushing, PEG management, tube feeding, and use of breathing masks. You also support in meal situations, medication, and other household chores, as well as participating in leisure activities, social interaction, and shopping.

Qualifications

We are primarily looking for you who have completed or are currently studying a nursing education, childcare education, or other equivalent education. Alternatively, we are looking for you with experience working with people in need of support or experience from service professions.

You should be engaged and curious in your work and have a high sense of responsibility. Furthermore, you should be responsive to the needs of residents and have a genuine interest in helping other people. You must master the Swedish language in both speech and writing so that you can communicate with residents but also to document events and other information in your work. It is very important that you can collaborate well with other colleagues and that you contribute with flexibility and joy in work.

If you have experience and knowledge of alternative communication methods, that is also a plus. Some digital skills are also required as much of the work – both your work schedule and documentation – is handled via apps.

A B-driver's license is required for several of the vacant positions, while bicycle proficiency is sufficient for others. We also expect you to be able to work irregular hours, which means working during the day, evenings, and weekends. Due to the Swedish Work Environment Authority's requirements for care work, you must be at least 18 years old.
