One of our teachers at our unit in Skövde is retiring. Are you a vocational teacher or do you have extensive experience in Construction and Civil Engineering with a focus on Carpenters? Then you might be our new colleague!

Movant in Skövde provides vocational education for adults on behalf of the municipality. We offer training in construction, plumbing, and vehicles. We have good cooperation with the industries and are well recognized by the professional boards, and we value that our students are employable when they finish their studies with us.

What we are looking for

The tasks involve teaching, stimulating, and guiding our students in their learning. You will teach both the practical and theoretical parts of the construction education. The work also includes documentation, follow-up, mentoring conversations, and supervision. It is important that you, as a teacher, understand the importance of grades and assessments being legally secure and equal. If you do not have this knowledge already, Movant's internal training will provide it, and our induction program will ensure that you, as a new teacher, feel confident in your professional practice.

The work includes teacher-led theoretical lessons, practical walkthroughs, supportive guidance, and follow-ups of our students during their APL (Apprenticeship/Work Placement) periods. By following the structure provided by our support material, you can meet the requirements we have towards the Swedish National Agency for Education and the Construction Industry's professional board.

We are looking for you with a vocational certificate in construction - focusing on carpentry, with several years of experience from the industry. It is an advantage if you have a teaching license or experience in teaching.

To thrive in the role of a teacher with us, it is important that you have a desire to teach and enjoy working together with our students. Good empathy is required, and you need to see that everyone who comes to us has a chance to succeed in their studies. You need to be clear, demanding, and structured in your work, as well as able to use a computer for documentation.

Our assignment includes coordinating APL (Work Placements). Therefore, you need to be communicative and enjoy contacting companies. Often, the APL period has been the key to employment after studies, which makes this work extremely important.
