At the Swedish Migration Agency, we work with one of today's major societal challenges – migration. In total, we are about 6,000 people here, and we have an unusually important job!

The Agency conducts extensive development work, including within civil defense and mobilization efforts regarding migration and asylum, with mandates from both the government and the EU.

The Security Division of the Swedish Migration Agency is part of the headquarters and has overall responsibility for security and preparedness within the Agency. At the Security Division, experts work with information security, physical security, personnel security, crisis preparedness and civil defense, internal investigations, employee protection, and other security matters spanning from operational security to classified security. The Division is led by our Security Director, who also sits on the Agency's executive board.

The Security Division is in an expansion phase, and we are now looking for you who want to contribute to strengthening our work within classified security and focus on classified procurement. As an expert in the field, you will be placed at the Security Unit, where we are responsible for the Agency's classified security as well as operational security, and where experts in physical security, information security, and classified security are gathered.

The operations are subject to complex threat landscapes and supported by technical systems with high demands for security and availability. We offer varied, stimulating, and responsible work with great opportunities for personal development.

We are now looking for you who have solid experience working with classified security and operational security, as well as procurement when exposed to protected values. We would like you to have broad security experience in both operational security and classified security.

Job Description

We offer stimulating and responsible work with great opportunities for personal development. As an expert focusing on classified procurement when exposed to protected values, you will work closely with our classified security experts and case handlers, as well as in close collaboration with the procurement and purchasing unit and responsible managers in the operations.

You will participate in the further development of the area, and in the position, work with development, steering, and follow-up alternates with support to the operations. The work requires that you are structured, self-initiating, and have the will and ability to take own initiatives. Your ability to interpret, evaluate, and handle complex and protected information is crucial in choosing measures and priorities. To succeed in the role, you have a distinctly good collaborative ability and are driven by the desire to achieve the right effect in the operations.

Furthermore, you have a well-developed pedagogical ability, to succeed in reaching out in the operations and creating understanding for classified security as well as operational security at different levels in the organization. In the work, you show signs of high integrity and a distinct security awareness. Since we strive for broad roles here at the Security Division, other qualified tasks may occur, based on operational needs and your own interest and experience.

Who are you?

To thrive and succeed, you should be structured and clear, but at the same time responsive to the needs of the operations. You possess very good collaborative skills. You listen and communicate clearly and ensure that messages reach their destination and that expectations are clear for all involved parties. You approach challenges in a constructive way. You plan, organize, and prioritize work effectively and set and maintain timeframes. You take initiative, start activities, and achieve results. Furthermore, you see the whole picture and take into account the larger perspective. You understand your role and area, but at the same time consider the best interests of the entire operation in actions and decisions.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability. Since the position is classified, it requires that you are a Swedish citizen.

We are looking for you who have:

  • academic education deemed relevant for the position or other education combined with experience relevant for the position
  • several years of current experience working independently with classified security related to procurement, including follow-up and control at an agency or larger organization

  • good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing

It is meritorious if you:

  • current experience of work with and understanding of corporate law, corporate structures, and risk management related to this
  • experience working in public administration
  • experience working in other relevant security areas, e.g., information security
  • experience in following up and developing processes in an agency and/or larger organization
  • have experience leading projects
