The operations are responsible for providing support and care to people with disabilities so they can live as independent a life as possible. In your work with us, it is important to be able to meet each person, see each individual, and communicate and be responsive to their needs and interests. The person's areas of need are described in an implementation plan.
The job duties also include documentation in our documentation system, Lifecare, as well as performing health and medical care tasks after delegation by the responsible nurse.
Working hours are distributed between day, evening/night, weekends, and night shifts.
There are currently six different group homes within Vimmerby urban area. On a group home, 4-6 people live in their own apartments. These people need proximity to staff around the clock. The work largely involves supporting the individuals to live as independent a life as possible. This can include cooking, supporting with personal hygiene, shopping together with the person, etc.
There are currently three different service apartments within Vimmerby urban area. A service apartment is an intermediate form between fully independent living in one's own apartment and a group home. Each service apartment has a number of apartments attached to it. Working in a service apartment involves support and motivation in the person's own home based on the person's implementation plan.
Within daytime activities, we offer meaningful engagement for people within the LSS (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments), which contributes to personal development and promotes participation in society.
The operations are conducted with different focuses to suit the individual person. Consideration is taken based on the person's prerequisites. Working hours are scheduled during the day, Monday to Friday.
Work with children and young people with disabilities. The operations are conducted so that basic needs for supervision, rest, movement, activity, meals, and other care adapted to disability and age are met. The operations are staffed around the clock, with working hours distributed between day/evening/night/weekends and pure night shifts.
Working as a personal assistant involves supporting and motivating the person in their home. The work largely involves supporting the individuals to live as independent a life as possible. This can include cooking, supporting with personal hygiene, shopping together with the person, etc.
Working alone is common when working as a personal assistant.

In the selection process, we will place great emphasis on personal qualities and interest in the position. As a person, you are responsible and flexible, you have a service-oriented approach and a positive attitude with a good and respectful manner of dealing with people. It is important that you can work independently, while also having good cooperation skills. The work also requires documentation, so you must be computer literate and must master the Swedish language in speech and writing. Knowing an additional language is a positive.
The position is subject to ID checks and register checks.
