In Sweden, Vattenfall Värme delivers district heating, district cooling, and steam to industries, property owners, and residential customers in fifteen municipalities. They provide sustainable heating to approximately 200,000 Swedish households, as well as heat, cooling, and steam to industrial customers. They work actively according to a clear plan to reduce fossil emissions in our cities, with the goal of reaching net-zero emissions by 2040. Do you have experience as an operations technician in the heating industry, cogeneration, or other process industries? We are now looking for an operations technician for Vattenfall at a technologically advanced production facility south of Stockholm. Here you will have a broad role with significant responsibility, where you will become involved in the operation of Vattenfall's facility early on and work closely with both processes and control systems. About the role

Professionals Nord, in collaboration with Vattenfall, is looking for an operations technician in heating. The assignment is part of our staffing service. You will be employed by Professionals Nord and work as a consultant at Vattenfall for 6 months. The intention is that you will then be directly employed by Vattenfall, provided that all parties are satisfied with the collaboration. Responsibilities

As an operations technician at Vattenfall, you are responsible, together with the team, for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the facility. The role involves both work from the control room and practical work out in the field. You actively work with monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization of processes and are expected to take ownership in daily work.

Examples of tasks:

• Operation and monitoring of boilers, production equipment, and auxiliary equipment at Vattenfall's facility
• Troubleshooting and process optimization
• Operator maintenance and supervision of the facility
• Crane operation and fuel handling
• Shutdown and restart of the facility during maintenance
• Work with control systems and process monitoring
• Collaboration with colleagues in operations, maintenance, and production to ensure a stable energy supply

We are looking for someone who

• Has experience from process industry, the energy sector, or other technically complex operations
• Has good process understanding and experience in operations
• Has good knowledge of Swedish and English
• Has a valid driver's license (Category B)

We consider it a strong merit if you have prior experience from cogeneration, district heating, energy production, or work at a production facility. If you have ESA, Hot Work, or crane certificates, we see this as a big plus.
