Region Östergötland is a workplace focused on highly specialized care, teaching, development, and research. Medical Radiation Physics, with just over 40 employees, operates in the areas of radiotherapy, radiology, MRI, nuclear medicine, radiation safety, and high-tech PET radiopharmaceutical production at the region's cyclotron facility. The facility was commissioned in the summer of 2018 and currently produces Fluorine-18 and Gallium-68 labeled radiopharmaceuticals. The cyclotron unit supplies both the PET operations at the Radiology Clinic US Linköping and the Radiology Clinic at Ryhov County Hospital in Region Jönköping County with PET radiopharmaceuticals.

Job Description

This is a temporary position with the possibility of extension. We offer an exciting and stimulating job where you will work in a team with good cohesion. The main task is to be involved in daily routine production and quality control of radioactive drugs for disease diagnosis. The cyclotron unit is a GMP-certified operation, which means clear and strict documentation of all work steps. Additional tasks include contributing to method development, purchasing and inventory of consumables, maintenance, investigations of deviations, and ensuring our quality system is maintained. Due to the short shelf life of radiopharmaceutical products and the region's needs, the work will often involve an early start to your workday.

About You

We are looking for you who are a pharmacist, chemist, biomedical analyst, or have equivalent technical or natural science basic education. Further practical experience in areas related to radiochemistry, laboratories, clean rooms, and work with GMP-based quality management systems will be seen as meritorious. You should be able to express yourself well in English and Swedish, both orally and in writing.
