The library service is part of the Culture and Leisure Department, and together we work to promote reading, access to literature, and cultural activities throughout Svalöv Municipality. With a central library, four branch libraries spread across the municipality, and an activity house, we strive to be open meeting places and function as cultural arenas for all ages.

RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for a Development Manager who wants to help drive our operations forward!

As the Development Manager for the library service, you will be responsible for library development and the coordination of our branch libraries in consultation with the Head of Culture and Leisure. In addition to standard librarian duties, you will plan events and collaborative projects for the library, coordinate project applications, and serve as the primary contact person for library matters both internally and externally. Furthermore, you will support the Head of Culture and Leisure in the resource planning of the library service, including schedule, absence, and invoicing management. Evening and weekend work may occur.

The Development Manager is part of the management and development group of the Culture and Leisure Department, where you collaborate with other development managers to promote cultural activities throughout Svalöv Municipality. If needed, you also serve as a substitute for the Head of Culture and Leisure at external network meetings.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who have substantial experience in library operations and are eager to take on greater responsibility!

You have at least a bachelor's degree in Library and Information Science, although further education is meritorious. You have worked for a few years in municipal library operations and have a good understanding of the broad and complex mandate of libraries. We consider it meritorious if you have completed some form of leadership training or have experience in leadership or project management from previous work. Since travel occurs between our branches, a class B driver's license is required.

As the Development Manager, you are the right hand of the Head of Culture and Leisure in the library service, and therefore it is important that you have a pedagogical and factual approach towards colleagues and other stakeholders. You have high integrity and stand with confidence behind decisions. With the help of good structure and a holistic view, you provide advice and support in strategic decisions.
