Welcome to work as temporary staff within Support and Care this summer!

We are looking for experienced temporary staff for our operations within Support and Care during June, July, and August. There is also an opportunity to take shifts before and after the summer.

How it works:

You will be employed intermittently and receive ongoing requests for shifts, sometimes with short notice (same day) and sometimes with longer lead time. You indicate your own availability in our digital booking system, where you can also express interest in specific shifts.

During the summer, there is also an opportunity to take pre-booked shifts.

Working Hours

Shifts are scheduled during the day and evening on weekdays and weekends. The earliest a shift can start is 6:30 AM and the latest it ends is 10:30 PM. At some operations within functional support, sleeping on-call duties are included, meaning you sleep at the workplace.

For those with previous work experience within support and care, there is an opportunity to work awake night shifts.

Introduction

Before your first shift, you will be introduced by a supervisor at the workplace, where you will learn about tasks, routines, and the needs of the users. You will also complete web-based training. If medication management is included in the tasks, you must complete training in medication delegation.

TASKS

You always base your work on what the user needs and contribute to them having a good, valuable, and secure daily life. Examples of common tasks include:

  • providing support in daily situations, such as taking walks
  • helping with showering and toilet visits
  • cleaning and laundry
  • distributing medication (primarily relevant in home care and functional support)
  • healthcare tasks according to instructions and delegation from a nurse
  • documentation in administrative systems

Elderly Housing and Short-term Housing

Elderly housing and short-term housing have somatic and dementia wards. Here you work primarily in a group, but independent work also occurs. Your task is to help care recipients with practical care work based on their needs, as well as organizing activities such as excursions and board games.

Home Care and Service Unit

Within home care, you support care recipients according to their needs in their homes. You perform practical care work independently but have regular contact with colleagues and coordinators. Sometimes you work in pairs. At the home care service unit, you perform only service tasks, such as shopping, cleaning, and social activities like walks.

Functional Support

Functional support has LSS operations, psychiatric housing, and personal assistance. You work with people who have intellectual, physical, neuropsychiatric, or mental functional variations. The work is performed either in the care recipient's home or at housing. In addition to practical care work, you provide pedagogical support in daily life, personal care, and create an active daily life based on the individual's needs and conditions.

QUALIFICATIONS

Who are you?

We are looking for you with previous experience within healthcare and social care. You enjoy meeting people, make contact easily, and have a genuine interest in every individual you meet. With your empathetic ability and respect for privacy, you contribute to a secure and meaningful daily life for our care recipients. You provide good service, cooperate well with others, and take responsibility for driving the work forward.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability. Education within healthcare and social care is meritorious. The work involves documentation and communication with care recipients, colleagues, and other partners, so you need to feel confident in the Swedish language both in speech and writing.

Driver's License

Within home care and some parts of functional support, you need to have a B driver's license, and in some cases, be able to drive a manual transmission car.

Important to Know

Before employment can be offered, you need to show a valid extract from the Police Authority's criminal record register. You order it yourself via the police's website. When you submit your application, you receive a link and instructions in the auto-reply.

Employment Type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 3-6 months.
