Are you the one who makes it possible for people to stay at home? We are now looking for assistant nurses for the home care service in Torslanda. Working within elderly care gives you the opportunity to contribute to joy of life and well-being. The goal is for care recipients to have meaningful days, where you provide good nursing and social care. You will have the opportunity to develop in your professional role while making a difference for those we serve. Your working hours are scheduled during the day and every other weekend. Working in home care means that you support and help the care recipient in their own home based on approved measures. You travel to the individual's home on foot, by e-bike, or by car. Your work includes practical help with personal hygiene and care, support during meals, activities, laundry, cleaning, and more.

The duties include being a contact person/fixed care contact, and you will, together with the individual, plan, implement, update, and document the work. It also includes performing health-care and rehabilitative measures on prescription from a nurse, physiotherapist, and occupational therapist. All social documentation is done digitally. You who have not previously used the systems used within the City of Gothenburg will receive training in these.

About you

Qualifications

We are looking for you who

• are trained as an assistant nurse, can show the National Board of Health and Welfare's certificate for the protected job title, or alternatively can show that you were employed as an assistant nurse when the new rules were introduced
• are comfortable using an e-bike as a work vehicle
• have a B driver's license
• since we document and communicate in Swedish, you need to be able to speak and write Swedish

As an assistant nurse in home care, you are friendly and helpful to other people even in stressful situations. In your work, the care recipient's best interest is the focus.

In your role, you are calm and secure in pressured and difficult situations and can make well-founded decisions despite time pressure. As an assistant nurse, you convey information and ideas clearly, both verbally and in writing. You adapt your communication to the recipient, target group, and situation and ensure that your message comes across. The tasks vary depending on the care recipient's needs, and therefore it is important that you can change how you work when things change.
