Jernforsen Energy develops and delivers bioenergy plants to customers in the industrial and energy sectors. Since its founding in 1984, the company has delivered over 1,000 plants worldwide and built strong expertise in the technology, engineering, and installation of bioenergy facilities.

We are now looking for a Project Manager who wants to take responsibility for driving projects from contract to completed plant. The role involves close collaboration with customers, internal technical teams, suppliers, and contractors, where you are responsible for delivering the project according to schedule, budget, and technical requirements.

Jernforsen develops bioenergy plants ranging from approximately 4 to 35 MW for energy production based on renewable biomass. The plants can be operated with fuels such as chips, bark, pellets, sawdust, and logging residues, even with high moisture content.

This position is a direct hire, meaning the recruitment process is handled by Futuria People, but you will be employed directly by the client. All questions regarding the position and recruitment should be directed to the responsible recruitment consultant at Futuria.

About the Role

As a Project Manager, you are responsible for driving and coordinating projects from contract to completed plant. The role involves both technical and commercial responsibility, where you are the customer's primary contact throughout the entire project.

You also have overall responsibility for the company's two current project managers, tracking project progress and reporting status and results directly to the CEO.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead projects from contract to delivery
  • Act as the customer's primary contact through various project phases
  • Ensure projects are delivered according to schedule, budget, and technical requirements
  • Coordinate internal resources within design, procurement, production, and service
  • Coordinate suppliers, contractors, and installation partners
  • Monitor project economics and report status to the CEO
  • Manage and support the company's two project managers in their projects
  • Participate in technical reviews and project meetings with the customer
  • Ensure installation and commissioning proceed according to plan

Travel is primarily within the Nordic region.

We are looking for someone who

  • Has experience in project management within industry, energy, process, or large technical installations
  • Has experience driving projects with multiple suppliers and contractors
  • Has worked with project budgets, contracts, and scheduling
  • Has technical understanding in areas such as mechanics, energy, process, or industrial systems
  • Has good contract understanding and experience with commercial issues in projects
  • Speaks and writes Swedish and English fluently
  • Has the ability to travel for work

Merits

  • Experience from bioenergy, boiler systems, or combined heat and power (CHP)
  • Experience from district heating, sawmills, or process industry
  • Experience with contracting projects
  • Experience with international projects
  • Has relevant further education, for example in technology or energy
