About Us

The Speech and Language Therapy Clinic for Children and Adolescents is a specialist unit that assesses and treats children and young people with disorders of language, communication, speech, and oromotorics, as well as eating and swallowing abilities. At the unit, speech therapists work with varying degrees of specialization within diagnostic areas.

We provide care to children and adolescents at Queen Silvia Children's Hospital in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Our mandate includes research and development work in pediatric speech therapy as well as teaching on the speech therapy program at the University of Gothenburg.

About the Position

The position is a temporary assignment until 2027-06-30 with the possibility of extension. Your main task is to work together with colleagues with children and young people who come to us with issues regarding eating and swallowing difficulties as well as speech motor disorders. The position is located at Queen Silvia Children's Hospital and involves patient contact within both outpatient and inpatient care. The work also involves team collaboration with, among others, nurses, dietitians, psychologists, and specialist doctors.

About You

You are a licensed speech therapist and have two years of professional experience in pediatric speech therapy or pediatric rehabilitation.

Merits for the position:

• Experience of speech therapy work in a hospital or rehabilitation unit regarding eating and swallowing difficulties in children and adolescents.
• Experience of teamwork.
• Education and experience in treating speech motor disorders.
