At Kvibergsskolan, we are currently looking for a School Nurse.

Kvibergsskolan is a technology-rich school with flexible learning environments. We are one of Sweden's five certified Apple Schools. In our innovative teaching, we use a thematic approach as a foundation. The school consists of two school buildings, grades F–3 and 4–9, as well as a special needs school for grades 1–9. The school's pedagogical staff is divided into six work teams that, together with management and support functions, are responsible for approximately 850 students.

Responsibilities

As a School Nurse within the Primary School Administration, you are part of the Student Health Service's Medical Intervention (EMI). EMI includes health visits, health conversations, and vaccinations. The School Nurse is responsible for organizing and planning their own and the school doctor's reception work during the school year. The work also includes issues related to students' working environment, the school's value base, and lifestyle-related ill health. You work primarily health-promoting and preventive for students' health, development, and learning.

In your role as a School Nurse, you become part of the Student Health Service and collaborate with the school's staff and management based on the regulatory documents found in the Health and Medical Services Act, the Education Act, guidance for the Student Health Service, as well as Gothenburg City's Method Support. You have close contact with the school's students and many contacts with guardians, external healthcare providers, and authorities outside the school.

As a School Nurse, you are part of a professional network for other School Nurses in the educational area, led by the Medical Leadership Responsible (MLA). You are offered introductory training and access to a mentor during the introduction period. School Nurses receive profession-specific competence development and have the opportunity for regular supervision outside the school. School Nurses can also supervise VFU (Work Integrated Learning) students within the same profession and pursue further education for School Nurses.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a registered nurse with further education as a district nurse, child nurse, or school nurse according to current eligibility requirements. You have good knowledge of the Student Health Service's mission, health and medical care legislation, and the Education Act.

We would like you to have experience working as a School Nurse or other work with children and young people. Meritorious experience also includes:

• Experience of working within the Student Health Service
• Experience of health-promoting and preventive work
• Experience of working with children and young people with NPD diagnoses
• Experience of collaboration with guardians and external authorities
• Experience of PMO or similar record systems

We would also like you to have knowledge of and experience with systematic quality work (SKA), including mapping, follow-up, analysis, and development of the organization's interventions.
