In Degerfors Municipality, we work actively to create a social service that is accessible, preventive, and close to the residents. We are now looking for a case worker who wants to join our development journey and make a difference in people's everyday lives.

Here, you will work in a smaller municipality where decision-making paths are short, collaboration is close, and you have good opportunities to influence both your work and the development of the operations.

Your Role

As a case worker with a focus on the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS), you will become an important part of an engaged team of four colleagues. We are in an exciting phase of development where we are building the future social services in Degerfors. Together, we are developing working methods that strengthen the preventive perspective, increase accessibility, and create smooth transitions between authorities and service providers.

We work closely together and in teams around the individual, always focusing on security, participation, independence, and high quality.

Your duties include:

• investigating, assessing, and making decisions according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS)
• ensuring legally secure case processing and following up on approved measures
• collaborating with the individual, relatives, service providers, healthcare, and other partners
• contributing to the development of future social services and new working methods in Degerfors Municipality

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who

• are a social worker or have other education that the employer considers equivalent
• are solution-focused, communicative, and curious
• thrive in a job where collaboration, dialogue, and a holistic view are central
• want to help develop a more preventive, accessible, and close-to-the-people social service
• have the ability to meet people with different needs and their relatives with professionalism, respect, and sensitivity
• have a valid driver's license (Category B)

We welcome both you who have experience in authority decision-making and you who are new to the profession.

It is an advantage if you have experience in case processing according to the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS) and/or the Social Services Act (SoL).

Other Terms

• Salary: Monthly salary.
• Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
• Duration: 6 months or longer, start: 2026-09-01 By agreement, end: 2026-12-31.
• Working hours: Daytime.
