The Role of Nursing Assistant

As a nursing assistant on Surgical Ward G and H, you provide security and good care to the patients during their stay with us. Your duties include providing basic care for patients and, together with other professions, delivering the best possible care! You plan care interventions together with a nurse in a structured and safe manner.

Your Future Workplace

We work with pre- and postoperative care, but we are also an emergency care ward that receives patients with surgical conditions from the emergency department. We always work with a holistic view of the patient and aim to increase the patient's participation in their care. The clinic has specialist nurses who have great competence within surgery and who support staff, both new and experienced, and above all, our patients.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who are trained as a nursing assistant, preferably with previous healthcare experience. Additional education in emergency care is meritorious.
We place great value on a positive attitude, good cooperation skills, and an empathetic approach where the patient is at the center.
As a person, you are calm and stable, can drive your work independently, and have a flexible approach. Personal suitability is of great importance.

At the surgical department, Värnamo Hospital, we work in teams and have both emergency and planned operations. We can offer exciting and developmental work in an stimulating environment. The position is a night shift, temporary position, with 88% scope, starting immediately until December 31, 2026.
We apply individual schedule planning based on planned work. As a night nursing assistant, you receive a night allowance on your base salary.
