School Nurse for the Student Health Team in Vaggeryd Municipality

Welcome to join our student health team at the F-3 schools in the northern part of Vaggeryd Municipality. Hok School, Byarum School, and Bondstorp School are smaller rural schools. Götafors School and Östra School are centrally located in Vaggeryd. In total, we have approximately 500 students in grades F-3.

The Child and Education Board's area of operation includes preschools, primary schools, as well as Fenix Culture and Knowledge Centre, which encompasses upper secondary school, special upper secondary education, and adult education. We work purposefully to provide every child and student with knowledge and hope for the future that will accompany them throughout life.

Responsibilities

We are currently looking for a school nurse for a permanent position. Your primary role will be to work health-promoting and preventive with our students so that they can thrive in school and in their future lives. You will be one of six school nurses in the municipality, working in close collaboration and participating in joint network meetings.

You will work with students in grades F-3 across several primary schools in the northern part of the municipality. You are part of the school's student health team, which consists of the principal, school counselor, special education teacher, special needs pedagogue, school psychologist, and school doctor. The work in the student health team is led by the principal, and the group works in close collaboration where our various competencies and professions aim to benefit the students' learning and well-being. We work at both group and individual levels.

Our work also includes collaboration with Social Services, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (CAPS), and Habilitation services.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with specialized training as a pediatric nurse, district nurse (specializing in children's health), or school nurse. You are trustworthy and enjoy working with children, both individually and in groups.

To succeed in this role, we expect you to collaborate easily with colleagues at our schools as well as with children and their guardians. A valid driver's license and access to a car are required. Experience in similar work is meritorious.
