Bring Cargo International is growing and we are now looking for a Customs Specialist with broad experience in import and export, who wants to ensure efficient and correct customs processes in a Nordic and international environment.

About the role

In this role, you will have a key position where you work both specialized with customs issues and contribute operationally to our forwarding business.

As a Customs Specialist, you are responsible for ensuring that our customs flows are handled correctly and efficiently – both within the Nordics and towards third countries. You will work closely with our freight forwarders, customers, and authorities.

The role also involves supporting other forwarding-related tasks when needed.

The successful candidate will be employed by us at StudentConsulting and work as a rented employee to Bring Cargo International.

Responsibilities

  • Handle and quality-assure import and export declarations
  • Ensure compliance with current customs legislation and regulations
  • Work with customs cases related to trade within and outside the EU
  • Management of temporary storage (e.g., customs warehouses / temporary storage)
  • Contact with the Swedish Customs Authority and other relevant authorities
  • Internal and customer advice on customs-related matters
  • Support the business in customs audits and controls
  • Operational contribution to forwarding flows (bookings, documentation, customer contact)

You are a structured and solution-oriented person who thrives in an operational environment where the pace is sometimes high. You have a strong understanding of customs processes and enjoy combining regulations with practical application.

You are communicative and enjoy having many contact points, both internally and externally.

Requirements for the position

  • Experience in customs handling within import and export (at least 3–5 years)
  • Documented knowledge of customs processes within the EU and trade with third countries
  • Experience working with customs systems and customs declarations
  • Experience managing temporary storage (e.g., customs warehouses or temporary storage)
  • Good knowledge of customs legislation and regulations (e.g., UCC – Union Customs Code)
  • Fluent Swedish and good English in speech and writing

Qualifications that are meritorious

  • Experience from forwarding operations
  • Knowledge within AEO (Authorised Economic Operator)
  • Experience with customs audits or internal compliance
  • Knowledge of customs-related IT systems (e.g., the Swedish Customs Authority's systems or business systems within logistics)
  • Post-secondary education in logistics, forwarding, or customs
  • More languages than English
