The position is located within the Social Services Department, which is one of eight departments in Linköping Municipality. The Social Services Department is responsible for authority exercises, ordering of measures, and own management within the areas of individual and family care, LSS (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments), and social psychiatry. We ensure that all residents receive the support they are entitled to.

Your responsibilities

We are now looking for two flexible and engaged employees for our staffing pool within daily activities. With us, you not only get the opportunity to be an important part of our work group, but you also get the opportunity to contribute to creating meaningful and developmental days for people with LSS decisions. This is a role for you who want a varied job with great opportunities to influence the daily life of our participants.

As part of the staffing pool, you will have an important role in ensuring that our daily activities are staffed when regular personnel is absent. You will receive information about where the need is and be sent to different activities depending on where the need exists. You can work at several activities during different periods – sometimes for several days, weeks, or months. The tasks vary depending on the activity's focus and the needs of the day, but what is common to all activities is that they aim to create meaningful occupation and personal development for the participants.

Examples of tasks may include:

• Providing support with simpler tasks such as packing, assembly, or sorting products to help participants carry out tasks independently.
• Assisting with cooking and serving in a café environment where you support participants in preparations, handling of food, and maintaining good hygiene standards.
• Supporting in gardening such as planting, weeding, or watering, as well as in simpler maintenance work outdoors, e.g., keeping order in common areas or performing minor repairs.
• Participating in and providing support for creative activities such as painting, music, crafts, or other creative tasks that strengthen participants' self-esteem and engagement.
• Being responsible for keeping order and tidiness at the workplace by supporting cleaning, dishwashing, or organizing materials and tools.
• Providing support in social activities and collaborations within the group.

Your workplace

Daily activities are directed towards people with disabilities who need extensive support (which can be in the form of care) or guidance at work and who have an LSS decision. The activity area has about 30 daily activities with many different focuses. Examples of focuses are cafés, park and service maintenance, gardening, radio and newspaper production, and more. Together we create good days with our users. Within daily activities, support assistants, support pedagogues, adult pedagogues, and development leaders work. We work in teams with the participant's best interest in focus.

You who apply

We are looking for you who have a completed education from the Care and Nursing program, Child and Youth program, or other education assessed as equivalent. You should have experience working in care, support, and nursing, preferably with people who have intellectual and/or physical disabilities. It is meritorious if you have worked with daily activities before or have knowledge of neuropsychiatric disabilities. It is also desirable that you have worked with care previously.

We value knowledge in alternative and augmentative communication (AAC), low-affective approach, and pedagogical work and attitude. It is also meritorious if you have experience working based on IBIC (Individual's Needs in Focus). The work involves many different contacts and documentation, which means that it is a requirement that you can communicate orally and in writing in Swedish, as well as having knowledge of documentation in journal systems. A manual transmission B-driver's license is a requirement as travel in the service may occur.

As a person, you are self-reliant, responsible, and have an empathetic ability. You work well together with other people and can adapt your way of communicating depending on the individual. You also adapt easily to changed circumstances and see opportunities in changes.
