Are you driven by delivering world-class support to the municipality's citizens? Then you could be our new support assistant!
Who are we?
Larumsvägen 6 is a group home with ten places located in Strömsfors, approximately two miles outside of Norrköping. There are good opportunities to use public transport near the residence. The residence is located in close proximity to a swimming lake and nature areas.
People with various disabilities who need support in their daily lives according to the Social Services Act (SoL) live in the group home. Each person has their own apartment which is in close proximity to staff support.
We support each person individually, and the goal is to increase the independence of everyone living with us. The staff has broad competence regarding various disabilities and a strong team spirit.
Your responsibilities
As an employee, you work based on the assignment plan, the social committee's steering documents, and from a professional and rehabilitative work approach. We adapt the work based on each individual's conditions and needs.
The starting point is the individual's personal implementation plan, and we place great importance on social, cultural, and leisure activities. Our aim is for the individual to become as independent as possible, and we support them in this by allowing them to use their own resources so that they can develop and achieve a good quality of life.
At Larumsvägen 6, there are tasks involving heavier care work. We place great emphasis on maintaining health and well-being and on developing social and leisure activities.
Who are you?
We are looking for you who have a high school diploma from the Care and Nursing program, the Child and Youth program with a social focus, or other education that the employer deems equivalent.
We view positively experience in care, Independent Living (ESL), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and low-affective handling. It is also positive to have previous experience working in a group home or service apartment.
As a person, you have good self-awareness and enjoy working with people. You are genuinely interested in working with and supporting people with various psychiatric diagnoses.
You are self-reliant and flexible, as no day is like the other when working with people. You are calm and secure, and have a good ability to prioritize your work.
You have a good manner of interaction and can collaborate with all kinds of people, as we have contact with colleagues within the municipality, the health care team, guardians/administrators, and relatives.
You are receptive and skilled at adapting your communication to the person you meet. You have good knowledge of Swedish, both in speech and writing, and a B-class driver's license is desirable.
