What does the job as an Activity Coach at Frösunda involve?
As an Activity Coach within day activity services, you support individuals who have been granted services under the Act on Support and Service for Certain Persons with Functional Impairments (LSS). This may include people with physical, mental, or intellectual disabilities. The content of day activities is based on activities that contribute, among other things, to increased social skills training.
As an Activity Coach, you provide pedagogical support and care to promote our customers' abilities and independence. You plan, prepare, and guide based on each individual's needs. This can include providing support in social activities, during meals, and in hygiene routines.
As an Activity Coach, you work with various communication tools, such as Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) and digital aids. The role also involves maintaining social documentation regarding the customer's development and needs to ensure that every participant receives the right support and assistance.
Examples of tasks:
- Support during meals, social activities, and hygiene routines.
- Documentation and reporting.
- Personal care, such as hygiene, toilet visits, support, and social presence.
Working hours at the day activity centre are scheduled during office hours according to a rotating roster.

Day Activity Centre 1 Växthus offers a calm atmosphere with a focus on communication. We serve customers with various functional variations who are in need of care, social stimulation, and community, as well as meaningful engagement that contributes to development and quality of life.
Here, we aim to contribute to our customers having a meaningful everyday life. We always start from the customer's individual strengths, needs, and interests, supporting each individual to become as independent as possible. Our driving force is that our customers should be able to live an independent life with the highest possible quality of life.
The centre is located on the ground floor of a residential building and features bright, nice premises with access to a large private garden. Adjacent to the centre is a natural area offering lovely forest walks. Good transport links are within easy reach, and it takes approximately five minutes by car to reach Upplands Väsby centre.

You enjoy collaborating with others and want to contribute to a good atmosphere and a positive psychosocial work environment.
You have a natural ability to be flexible and responsive in your work approach, attitude, and collaboration with colleagues, your nearest manager, as well as in cooperation with external actors and relatives of our customers. Other important qualities we specifically seek are personal maturity, good judgment, a positive basic attitude, and the ability to act with a calm, composed, and professional attitude in your professional role, even when unforeseen events and stress arise.
You understand the importance of taking responsibility for your tasks and the development opportunities you encounter, thereby demonstrating good teamwork and becoming a good representative for the centre and Frösunda Omsorg.
- We prefer that you have a high school education in the Care and Nursing Programme or the Child and Youth Programme, with a focus on social work.
- A B-class driver's license is required to, among other things, carry out activities together with customers.
- Previous experience working with LSS and care experience is highly meritorious.
- Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, is required.
- You need to have good physical fitness and be able to swim, and not see swimming (e.g., in a pool or lake) as a hindrance.
- We want you to have experience and understanding of customer-oriented work and that you understand and master a low-affective approach in your professional role.
Other information
Employment type: Hourly employment during induction and as needed, starting from mid-June. Summer holiday cover during June–August according to agreement.
Scope: Part-time
Start date: As soon as possible. The induction must be carried out during week 25 or 26, starting with an hourly employment involving two induction shifts during the day, followed by summer holiday cover on the schedule.
We apply individual salary setting and have collective agreements. Interviews are conducted continuously, and summer holiday positions may be filled before the application deadline. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
In the event of employment, you must be able to provide a certificate from the Swedish Police Authority (extract from the criminal record). You must also be able to prove that you have the right to work in Sweden, by showing citizenship within the EU/EEA or a valid work permit.
