Your responsibilities

One of our nurses will be on leave, and we are now looking for a colleague for a fixed-term assignment until 2027-03-01.

As a nurse at our dementia care facility, you play a central role in ensuring medical assessments, planning daily healthcare interventions, and monitoring the health status of the residents. The work is varied and includes, among other things, taking blood samples, dressing wounds, handling prescriptions, and delegating care tasks to nursing staff.

You work continuously with quality registers such as BPSD, Senior Alert, and the Palliative Care Register, doing so in close collaboration with the nursing staff. Documentation is an important part of the role, and you use it as support in both planning and follow-up of care.

You participate in multidisciplinary meetings and are part of the local management group. Here, you contribute to developing working methods, following up on deviations, and contributing to quality assurance of the operations.

Your workplace

Berga Care Home is a dementia care facility with four wards and 42 places. Here, we work with individualized approaches and low-affective responses to create security and predictability for our residents. You will become part of a welcoming work group where collaboration is a natural part of everyday life. Nurses, specialist assistant nurses, assistant nurses, care assistants, and rehabilitation staff work here. We have close collaboration both within the building and within our cluster: Järdalavägen, Valthornsgatan, Ekbacken, Möjetorp, and Linghem.

Your working hours are scheduled Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM. You work one weekend and two weekday evenings on a rolling six-week schedule. The evening shift is 4:00 PM - 9:00 PM.

You who apply

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse in Sweden. For the position, it is meritorious if you have experience of work or clinical training within elderly care. We also see it as meritorious if you have worked as a nurse previously, especially within municipal healthcare, but this is not a requirement.

Since the work involves documentation and contact with patients and relatives, it is a requirement that you have good knowledge of Swedish, both written and spoken. You also need to have experience with some documentation and medical record system. A category B driver's license is a requirement, as well as the ability to cycle.

As a person, you work well with other people, listen, communicate, and solve conflicts in a constructive way. Furthermore, you have the ability to lead and coordinate work by creating engagement and participation. You also have an understanding of how individuals absorb knowledge and can therefore adapt how you convey information to achieve common goals.

In your work, you can plan, organize, and prioritize your tasks and have an easy time adapting to changed circumstances. You make correct assessments and have the ability to weigh together complex information and different types of considerations.
