Business Controller - Project Focus

Do you want to work close to the operations and contribute to profitable business projects through analysis, structure, and business understanding? We are now looking for a driven and analytical Business Controller with a project focus who wants to be a key player in our continued development.

About the role and your challenge

In the role of Business Controller with a project focus, you work closely with project managers, management, and sales to ensure sound financial control throughout the entire project lifecycle – from calculation to completion.

Since we sell customized machines and systems at fixed prices, every project is unique. You are expected to dig deep into the projects, challenge timelines and forecasts, and act proactively to secure profitability. You combine financial analysis with an operational approach and report directly to our CFO.

Main responsibilities

• Project and cost control: Responsible for financial follow-up, analysis, and forecasts for our project portfolio.

• Active business support: Support project managers and sales with calculations, risk analyses, and financial prioritizations.

• Systems & Processes: System responsibility for the business system Monitor. You drive the development of our internal routines, digital reporting, and future sustainability support.

• Business breadth: Support our business areas AP Develop and Aftermarket with follow-up and process development.

Your qualifications:

• Academic degree in economics/finance with a solid foundation in accounting.

• Several years of experience as a Business Controller, with a focus on project accounting or project management.

• Very strong analytical skills and a structured, pedagogical working style.

• Confident in making decisions, street-smart, and willing to challenge constructively.

• Fluent in Swedish and English, as the role involves collaboration with international customers.

Merits:

• Experience with Successive Profit Calculation (SVA) and the business system Monitor.

• Experience from industry, production, or other project-intensive operations.
