Workplace Description

Salem Municipality's home care service is organized within the Elderly Care and Social Administration departments.

The home care service has long experience in care and support work and is divided into three geographical groups. We provide service and nursing care around the clock, every day of the year. You will work with a team that puts the customer at the center. Our goal is for the customer to receive individualized service and nursing care of high quality. We are now looking for several new employees to strengthen our team.

Job Description

As a care worker, you will work with nursing care in the customer's home. You will work with person-centered care and documentation. You will perform delegated health and medical tasks. The work is based on the implementation plans drawn up in consultation with the customer. Service tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and shopping are also included. Your work should be carried out from a salutogenic approach. Physically demanding transfers occur in the work and require good physical fitness. It is therefore very important that you take responsibility for your own health. A secure and stable personality is also required as the work involves meeting people who are seriously ill.

Qualifications

We want you to have experience within care or healthcare. You need to have good computer skills to meet the documentation requirements. Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, is required.

It is an advantage if you have a nurse assistant education or other healthcare education. Experience from home care and a driver's license are meritorious.

Employment Terms

We are looking for you who want to work with us on a schedule during the summer, with the possibility of continuing work as an hourly substitute after the vacation period. Please send your application by June 24, 2026.
