We are looking for a Construction Manager for a government agency within the transport sector.

This is a consulting assignment. The workplace is in Stockholm.

The position is full-time.

The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, which places high demands on flexibility and teamwork.

The Assignment

As a Coordinating Construction Manager within metro expansion, you are responsible for leading, coordinating, and ensuring the quality of construction management work within rock and civil engineering contracts. The role entails overall responsibility for monitoring contracts, coordinating between the project's stakeholders, and ensuring that production is carried out according to agreements, requirements, and set goals.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that contracts are executed according to agreements, legal requirements, and governing documents, and monitor time, cost, and content.
• Lead, plan, and ensure the quality of the construction management organization, including staffing and resource allocation.
• Coordinate contractors, design consultants, utility owners, and adjacent operations for efficient progress and good collaboration.
• Be responsible for operational contract management, including daily issues, change order handling, forecasts, and status reporting.
• Participate in tenders, review request for proposal documents, and contribute experience in contract matters.
• Drive and monitor production planning, schedules, forecasts, as well as technical, economic, and environmental control.
• Ensure compliance with quality, environmental, and occupational health and safety requirements, and manage risks, deviations, and improvement measures.
• Lead meetings, create good collaboration between stakeholders, and contribute to the development and efficiency of the business.

Requirements (OBS, mandatory)

• Hold at least a university degree in engineering.
• At least 12 years of experience working in civil engineering projects in a qualified client role (coordinating construction manager, design manager, assistant project manager, sub-project manager/project manager).
• At least 10 years of experience in civil engineering projects with a focus on foundations, concrete, or rock.
• Experience of having worked as a coordinating construction manager in at least three civil engineering projects with a contract value over 500 million SEK.
• At least 5 years of experience working as a foreman/site manager/project manager in contracting companies within civil engineering.
• At least 3 years of experience actively using English as a working language in civil engineering projects.
• Documented training in BAS P and BAS U.
• Fluent Swedish in speech and writing.

Meritorious

• At least 5 years of experience in the role of coordinating construction manager, construction manager, production manager/leader involving production methods such as caisson construction with drilling/blasting for vertical shafts in rock with shaft depth >25 m, as well as production methods with raise boring for vertical shafts in rock and rock reinforcement and grouting of these in urban areas.
• At least 10 years of experience in foundations below the groundwater table as a coordinating construction manager, construction manager, production manager/leader, site manager, or foreman.
• Hold certification for Concrete Class I and at least 5 years of experience with concrete work.
