We are continuously recruiting Mechanical Design Engineers for future consultancy assignments within hardware, mechanics, and production development. The role suits both you who are at the beginning of your career and wish to develop further within design, and you who have several years of experience and are looking for new technical challenges.

Your Role

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be part of a mechanics team responsible for the new development and maintenance of product hardware across various product areas. You will work closely with development and production teams to generate ideas and develop new features based on changing market needs.

In this role, you will participate in various types of R&D and customer projects, as well as work with fault investigations, process development, and detailed design. You will also have the opportunity to visit customers to verify systems and solutions on-site.

Examples of Responsibilities

• Perform drawing changes, improvements, and technical updates.
• Create models, drawings, and design documentation in CAD.
• Collaborate closely with other functions and contribute to design choices in projects.
• Design mechanics close to electronics, primarily for milling machining.

Are You the One We Are Looking For?

To succeed in the role, we see that you have:

• A Master's, Civil Engineer, or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanics, Product Development, or a related field.
• Experience in mechanical design through work, internship, or projects.
• Very good knowledge of CAD, e.g., CATIA, Siemens NX, Solid Edge, SolidWorks, or similar.
• The ability to work in a structured and meticulous manner with a focus on quality and documentation.
• An independent and responsible working style with the ability to drive own tasks and projects.
• Good teamwork skills and an interest in working together with other functions and departments.
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English.

It is an advantage if you have experience in mechanical design within the defense, aerospace, automotive, or other high-tech industries.

As a consultant, you are employed by AxÖ Consulting but work on assignments at our customers' sites.
