Nordic Re-Finance AB is now looking for an engaged and experienced Head of Maintenance Unit, ECM 4 function. About the role

As Head of ECM 4, you are responsible for leading the maintenance operations, with a focus on ensuring that all maintenance measures are carried out in accordance with current legislation and internal processes. You will work closely with our vehicle managers to plan and prioritize daily work, and lead a team of technicians, warehouse, and spare parts personnel. The role combines technical leadership and operational planning, requiring a deep understanding of locomotive technology and maintenance processes. You will also collaborate with workshops and external technicians to promote knowledge sharing and improve operations.

Responsibilities

Your main areas of responsibility will include:

• Leading and developing the ECM 4 operations.
• Ensuring maintenance is performed according to current ECM regulations, authority requirements, and internal procedures.
• Responsible for planning and coordinating technical resources together with vehicle managers.
• Supervising and developing technicians, ensuring the right competence and staffing.
• Monitoring maintenance activities, deviations, and improvement measures.
• Contributing to high vehicle availability through structured and proactive maintenance work.
• Participating in technical investigations, troubleshooting, and assessments as needed.
• Collaborating with workshops, suppliers, customers, and authorities within the scope of responsibility.
• Contributing to the development of the company's maintenance strategies and technical processes.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have the following qualifications:

• At least 5–10 years of experience working with railway vehicles, preferably locomotives.
• Good understanding of mechanical and electrical systems on rail vehicles.
• Good knowledge of the ECM regulations according to the EU's Fourth Railway Package.
• Experience in team leadership and leadership qualities.
• Experience in planning and coordinating maintenance activities.
• Good administrative skills and experience in documenting, monitoring, and reporting technical activities.
• Experience working in safety-critical operations.
• Category B driving license (required).
