Are you a structured and business-driven leader who thrives in a role where operational problem-solving meets long-term capacity planning? Do you have experience leading teams, planning resources, and creating efficient workflows in a business where quality, customer experience, and results are at the center? Then the role of Operation Planning Manager could be your next step!
Memira by Bergman Clinics is now looking for an Operation Planning Manager for a fixed-term contract, where you will play a central role in ensuring that the surgical operations function efficiently across Sweden.
Your responsibilities
As Operation Planning Manager, you have personnel responsibility for Memira's traveling nurses in Sweden. The team consists of approximately 15 employees working at various clinics around the country. You lead, develop, and motivate the group remotely, creating the conditions for an engaged team that delivers high-quality results.
A large part of the role involves planning and optimizing surgical capacity. You are responsible for scheduling surgical staff and coordinating resources and equipment based on the business's needs. You work with both long-term planning and daily staffing, where you need to quickly find solutions for absences, changed demand, or reprioritizations between clinics.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning, scheduling, and monitoring surgical operations based on budget, capacity, and needs
- Ensuring and optimizing surgical capacity to meet demand
- Leading, developing, motivating, and monitoring the traveling nurses in Sweden
- Recruiting and onboarding new employees to the nursing team
- Maintaining ongoing dialogue with clinics, surgeons, surgical operations, and logistics functions
- Coordinating equipment needs, such as laser machines, in close collaboration with logistics
- Driving improvement work related to planning, resource utilization, quality, and efficiency
The role is close to the operations and requires you to handle the day's rapid changes while keeping an eye on the big picture. Your decisions impact capacity, profitability, quality, and the daily lives of employees.
You collaborate closely with the Country Manager, clinics, the logistics department, and other key functions within the organization. Since the business is conducted at clinics around Sweden, travel may be required in the role.
Your profile
We are looking for someone with a good business understanding and the ability to see the whole picture in the business. You understand how planning, staffing, and working methods affect capacity, budget, and results – both in the short and long term. You are confident in identifying improvement opportunities, driving efficiencies, and bringing the team along in changes that contribute to achieving set goals.
You thrive in a role where you need to create structure, prioritize, and make decisions. To succeed, you need to combine warm and engaging leadership with business acumen, clarity, and courage. You have the ability to build trust remotely and create a team where employees feel heard and motivated.
We would like you to have:
- At least 3–5 years of experience in a similar role
- Experience with personnel responsibility
- Experience with scheduling, capacity planning, or daily staffing
- Good business understanding and the ability to understand the connections between resources, capacity, quality, and results
- Valid driver's license (Category B)
- Good computer skills, experience with Salesforce is a merit
- Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
However, the most important thing is that you have the right drive and ability to get things done. You are comfortable communicating with different types of people and have an easy time creating clarity in complex situations.
