Every year, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency makes 21 million decisions that affect people's lives and society as a whole. We pay out approximately 260 billion SEK annually. We are entrusted with everyone's tax money. This is a significant responsibility. Therefore, we delve into every case, adhere to laws and regulations, inform and guide, care, and show consideration. This is a job for you who want to take responsibility. Welcome to the Swedish Social Insurance Agency.
To steer, follow up, and develop operations, access to reliable data, analysis, statistics, and decision support is required. We are now building the next generation of analytical and decision-support capabilities. We are therefore looking for a Unit Manager for the Analysis and Decision Support Unit within the Analysis, Statistics, Management, and Decision Support area (LAEB).
You will have the opportunity to help build a modern analytical and decision-support capability where data, analysis, and operations meet to create value for the entire Swedish Social Insurance Agency.
The role involves significant influence over how the analysis, statistics, data extraction, and decision support areas develop in the coming years.
Analysis, Data Products, Decision Support
As Unit Manager, you are the leader closest to the employees and operations. You are responsible for leading and driving daily work based on the department's mission and goals, guided by the public sector's core values. Through your leadership, you convey clear expectations, follow up on goals, and provide your employees with the right conditions to take their responsibilities. You have personnel responsibility as well as result and follow-up responsibility for the teams in your unit.
Your unit consists of approximately 11 employees and is primarily located in Stockholm. You are responsible for developing employees, competencies, and working methods while ensuring that the unit contributes to a stable, operationally close, and value-creating delivery.
Through close leadership, you create the predictability, security, and sustainability necessary for employees to take their responsibilities and meet the need for change. You create understanding of contexts, direction, and the target images set by the department, and develop the plans your operations need. You adapt and exercise your leadership in a way that creates conditions for employees to use their judgment and competence.
The role involves close collaboration with operations, product management, and IT to translate information needs into analysis, statistics, data extraction, data products, and decision support that create utility for the agency. You report to the Area Manager and are part of the area's management group.
The position involves handling confidential information, which places high demands on proper handling. Therefore, it is important that you, as someone working with us, have a high level of security awareness.
