Nephrological Ward B 173 at Linköping University Hospital (US) is part of the Nephrology Clinic, which is included in the Medical Centre. The clinic's main task is to investigate and treat patients with medical kidney diseases and to treat patients with chronic kidney failure. The clinic's operations are organized into several different units with a total of just over 100 employees.

About 28 employees work on Ward B173. The ward is a combined nephrology and rheumatology ward where patients with kidney diseases and rheumatological diseases are investigated, diagnosed, and treated. We also care for patients with other internal medical diagnoses who come via the emergency department. Furthermore, we are facing an exciting future where a lot of focus will be on development!

Job Description

As an assistant nurse on our ward, you will meet patients with different needs and ages. Our goal is to give our patients the very best care and that every patient should feel safe and be met with respect and sensitivity when cared for by us. We have high demands on your commitment and desire to develop and take responsibility. We are also a ward that has come far in digital development and work with iPads (NOVA tablet) where we create digital checklists of what needs to be done during the day. The iPad also provides access to Cosmic for easier documentation, reading medical records, and so on. All employees therefore have their own iPad as a work tool. The employment includes weekend duty, approximately two out of five weekends, and involves three-shift work. We schedule shifts in the TESSA scheduling tool, and you have the opportunity to make your own requests.

Work Group

At the clinic, we have traditionally had good cooperation between professional groups. We work in cross-professional teams where everyone contributes their competence for high nursing quality and patient safety.

About You

You are a licensed assistant nurse. Since you work in constant dialogue with patients and colleagues, it is a requirement that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both in speech and in writing.

You should have a large empathetic ability and personal maturity to work with us. You are a person who can work independently, structures your work, and takes responsibility for your tasks. Furthermore, you take initiative and can collaborate with others in a sensitive way. Together we make the team!
