Welcome to the Elderly Care Home Västerliden!
Do you want to have one of Sweden's most important jobs and make a difference for our elderly? We are now looking for dedicated assistant nurses for Västerliden elderly care home in Rimforsa.

Västerliden elderly care home consists of 26 apartments and is divided into two departments: The Green Backen department with a somatic focus and 3 short-term beds, and the Sun Gleam department with a dementia focus. Here, you will meet some of the country's happiest residents!

There are good bus connections to Rimforsa and parking facilities adjacent to the elderly care home.

A new care home with 54–60 beds will be built in Rimforsa and is expected to be completed in 2028. The operations at Västerliden will then be phased out and moved into the new elderly care home.

Your responsibilities
Care work is important, enjoyable, and developmental work, where you provide support and help to the elderly based on their individual needs and create a meaningful everyday life for them. You will place great emphasis on working according to the core values based on the individual's wishes, needs, and abilities. Your task is to be a professional practitioner who works to strengthen the individual's abilities and resources so that they experience their everyday life as understandable, manageable, and meaningful. The meeting with people is in focus, and you contribute to creating good relationships with relatives/near ones as well as other professional groups. The work also includes contact responsibility, ombudsman roles, documentation according to SOL and HSL, as well as handling and responsibility for interventions delegated from licensed personnel.

Qualifications:
We are looking for you who are trained as an assistant nurse. Post-secondary education is meritorious, for example, specialized training in dementia diseases or palliative care. Experience of working with dementia diseases and knowledge of low-affective handling are also meritorious. Since we are legally required to document our work, it is of great importance that you master the Swedish language in speech and writing and have good computer skills. Great importance is attached to personal suitability. It is meritorious if you hold a B driving license.

You take great responsibility in your professional practice and show judgment and respect. You work systematically and have a great ability to reflect, assess, and handle different situations that can change quickly based on your own competence. It is important that you can balance different demands and maintain a positive attitude in challenging situations. You enjoy meeting other people and can both collaborate and work independently. Finally, you easily create and maintain good relationships with others and are confident in meetings and difficult conversations.
