Job Description

You work closely with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare providers at the health centre and encounter a wide variety of patient cases. The municipality of Valdemarsvik has a high proportion of elderly people.

You work with a public health focus where patient meetings take place individually or in groups, following the NCP (Nutrition Care Process) where assessment, diagnosis, treatment, follow-up, and evaluation of nutrition-related ill health are handled based on evidence.

Since we prioritize good collaboration in a cross-professional team at the health centre, the role also includes responsibility for developing local guidelines and internal training for employees.

As an active dietitian, you are part of a dietitian network within the region's primary care centres, consisting of approximately 25 active dietitians.

The network is coordinated by a dietitian who offers induction, supervision, and monitors and disseminates information and news within the region, healthcare, and nutrition areas. For good collaboration, the dietitian organization has regular contact through convened professional meetings that take place digitally or physically once a month, as well as a network meeting 1–2 times per term with dietitians active in specialist care. Development of overarching routines, working methods, and guidelines takes place within the dietitian organization.

You have the opportunity for profession-specific further education, and every other year, a dietitian retreat in the form of a two-day conference is planned for further development within the organization. We prioritize patient safety and the working environment, and therefore have a region-wide prioritization plan for patient flows, as well as a collaboration function for temporary absence where you are supported by employees who handle part of the patient flow while you are away. Some parts of the position can be performed remotely.

About You

We are looking for you who are a registered dietitian and have experience in your professional role. Experience from working in primary care is an advantage.

As a person, you are curious, engaged, and have a solution-focused approach to work. The job requires that you have good collaboration skills and thrive as part of a team, but also that you are capable of working independently. Furthermore, it is important that you have a good ability and desire to develop the operations, can take the larger perspective into account, and consider the best interests of the entire operation. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability for the position.
