The Academic Home Care Department provides acute specialist care – in the patient's home. Instead of the patient being admitted to the hospital, you and your colleagues go to the patient's home to provide the care that is typically performed on inpatient wards. You build relationships, see the whole picture, and make a real difference for the patient. This form of care has been applied in several places across Sweden for a few years now and shows very high patient satisfaction and patient participation.

We are looking for an engaged assistant nurse for the Academic Home Care Department, where patient-facing work is combined with administrative tasks and research support. The department falls under the Infectious Disease Clinic, so a portion of the work will be dedicated to the role of clinic operations coordinator.

The department is currently staffed with registered nurses, and we are now taking the next step in our development by expanding the team with assistant nurses.

Your Role

As an assistant nurse with us, you will have a varied role where you work both clinically and administratively. When working clinically, you will make home visits together with a registered nurse, and together you will provide care in the patient's home, such as blood sampling, stoma care, and wound dressing changes, among other tasks.

The administrative part of the Academic Home Care Department consists of, among other things, patient registration, ordering materials, etc. In the long term, the role may also include research support.

In the role of care flow coordinator, you will have overall responsibility for admission and discharge issues within the entire area of operation (VO) and collaborate with staff on the department, the outpatient clinic, the hospital's emergency department, as well as central bed coordinators to ensure optimal patient flow within inpatient care.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for you who are trained as an assistant nurse with a flexible working style and an interest in healthcare development and care flows. We would appreciate it if you had experience in research-oriented work as well as good knowledge of Cosmic and Agresso.

What We Offer

We offer a permanent full-time position, with a start date as agreed. Probation may apply. The working hours are initially scheduled for days, evenings, and weekends, but during full-scale operations, night shifts may also become available after agreement. Employment is ongoing.

• Introduction consisting of both clinical and theoretical sessions, designed individually over 2-5 weeks. Part of the introduction takes place on inpatient wards within surgery, urology, or infectious diseases, depending on previous experience in these areas.
• We apply healthy scheduling with a focus on recovery. The day shift starts at 07:30 in the morning and the evening shift ends at 21:30.
