We are now looking for a Maintenance Technician for an exciting operation in Hallsberg, where you will work alongside engaged colleagues.

About the role

As a Maintenance Technician, you will become an important part of a team working to ensure operational safety and high quality in the business. You will work with both preventive and corrective maintenance on vehicles and contribute to ensuring that equipment and systems function optimally.

This is a varied role where you will have the opportunity to work close to the technology and develop within a business characterized by innovation, sustainability, and continuous improvement.

The assignment is a consultancy position starting on September 1, 2026, and running until August 31, 2027. The work is scheduled on weekdays during office hours. You will be employed by Academic Work and work on-site at our client's premises in Hallsberg.

Responsibilities

The role involves broad responsibility for technical service and maintenance of the vehicle fleet, where you combine practical assembly with careful documentation and close collaboration with your colleagues.

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on vehicles.
  • Car out assembly and fitting during repairs, modifications, and maintenance interventions.
  • Document completed work according to current routines and processes.
  • Identify areas for improvement and report the need for further actions.
  • Contribute to a safe, efficient, and reliable operation through close collaboration with colleagues.

We are looking for someone who has

  • Basic technical education.
  • Practical experience in mechanics and troubleshooting.
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
  • A valid driver's license (Category B).

It is meritorious if you have previous experience working with trains or railway vehicles.
