Säterbostäder AB is owned by Säter Municipality. Today, we own and manage approximately 1,100 apartments and 60 commercial premises in about 30 residential areas throughout the municipality. We are moving towards an exciting future with plans for new housing production. Säterbostäder and Säter Municipality have a close collaboration, which means we also perform work on the municipality's properties such as schools, preschools, and special needs housing.

Due to retirement, we now need to replace a position in our team with a Building Technician.

Job Responsibilities

As a Building Technician with us, you have operational system responsibility for part of our portfolio. This means that you not only rectify faults as they arise, but you have overall responsibility for ensuring that our technical systems function stably, efficiently, and sustainably.

In this role, you work to ensure the functionality of the building's technical systems, including HVAC, ventilation, electricity, and control and regulation technology. You perform qualified troubleshooting and functional checks, identify deviations, and take measures to prevent operational disruptions. The work also includes proactive preventive maintenance and ongoing optimization of operations, where you contribute to energy efficiency and more sustainable management.

You have the ability to read and interpret drawings, diagrams, and technical documentation, and you work systematically to document, follow up, and analyze implemented measures. The role also includes ensuring that work is carried out in accordance with current laws, regulations, and safety requirements.

You are thus an important part of turning technical operations into a functioning whole where economy, quality, and customer benefit are interconnected.

Your Background

We are looking for you who have a building technology education or equivalent experience and have worked for several years with operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting in buildings. You have a good technical understanding in several areas such as HVAC, heating and cooling, ventilation, electricity, or control and regulation technology, preferably with elements of building automation.

You are accustomed to working independently with troubleshooting and making your own assessments of measures, while also having good experience working in digital systems for work orders, case management, and documentation. You are proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written, and hold a B-driver's license.

It is an advantage if you have experience with building automation and system optimization, knowledge in energy and resource-efficient operations, relevant certificates such as hot work, lift, or fall protection, and a good understanding of regulations within property management. Experience working from technical documents and system documentation is also seen as an advantage.
