Your Role

Nacka Senior Center Ektorp is a residential care facility with 118 places, offering both somatic care and dementia care. The facility features a large kitchen and restaurant where chefs prepare meals from scratch, a kiosk, an extensive activity program, and day care services. We are now looking for a nursing assistant colleague for a summer temporary position to support the nursing team. The position is scheduled on weekdays between 7:30 AM and 4:30 PM (40 hours per week).

The summer temporary position runs between weeks 25-32, and there is an opportunity to work before and after the temporary period as a nursing assistant in care.

As a nursing assistant with extended responsibilities, your role is crucial in ensuring person-centered care for our residents. You assist the nursing team with delegated tasks and take the initiative in a non-hierarchical manner to fill your workday during quieter periods.

Your main duties include but are not limited to:

• Specimen collection
• Dressing changes
• Inserting feeding tubes and catheters
• Administering insulin
• Filing medical records and administrative tasks related to the nursing role

Your Experience

To be considered for the role, you must have:

• Completed and approved nursing assistant education
• Experience working as a nursing assistant in a hospital setting
• Preference given to candidates with experience in elderly care
• Preference given to candidates with knowledge of dementia care and palliative care
• Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
