About the workplace
Ersta Elderly Care is part of Ersta Diaconia and operates a total of nine elderly care homes in Stockholm and Uppsala. Our goal is to provide our residents with a secure and content-rich daily life, featuring activities, community, and good, enjoyable meals. At our facilities, everyone should feel at home!
Ednahemmet has 60 apartments spread over two floors and is located close to nature, with a lush garden and its own orangery in Hästhagen, Nacka. Here, you become part of a strong community where we have fun, support each other, and care for one another. The staff here are highly engaged, proud of our work, and make a difference every day. Within Ersta Diaconia as a whole, we also have a strong community and strive to live up to our values every day, both in our interactions with residents and in leadership and teamwork.
As an employee, we offer a range of benefits that we hope will provide you with the conditions to thrive in your job and enjoy a rewarding leisure time.
About the role
As a physiotherapist here, you will become an important part of our multidisciplinary team, working alongside occupational therapists, activity coordinators, nursing assistants, nurses, and doctors. Together, we work from a function-preserving approach – focusing on strengthening each individual's abilities, participation, and quality of life.
You are responsible for assessing, planning, and following up on physiotherapeutic interventions and serve as a key support for both residents and staff. Your duties include, among other things:
- Assess mobility capabilities and create individual care plans in the Welfare electronic health record system.
- Guide and train care staff in ergonomics and transfer techniques.
- Prescribe, trial, and follow up on assistive devices.
- Plan and lead physical activities – both individually and in groups.
- Participate in team rounds, improvement councils, and case reviews.
You will collaborate closely with the occupational therapist at the facility and are part of a network with other physiotherapists and occupational therapists within Ersta Elderly Care – a context where knowledge sharing and development are central.
This position is a permanent part-time role at 50%. The work is scheduled during weekdays in daytime hours, with flexibility to influence the scheduling of working hours.
Who are you?
We are looking for someone who is confident in their professional role and enjoys making a difference in people's daily lives. You are eager to share your knowledge with colleagues and possess pedagogical and clear communication skills. You work in a structured manner, see solutions rather than obstacles, and have a natural focus on resource efficiency, quality, and the environment.
You are flexible, collaborate closely with the team, and maintain good dialogue with management.
Above all, you have a warm and respectful attitude towards both residents and colleagues, and share our value system of seeing the whole person. At our workplace, professionalism, trust, and hope are united in everything we do.
Your experience
We are looking for someone who:
- Is a licensed physiotherapist.
- Has at least two years of experience in the profession.
