The Sterile Technology Centre (STC) at Södersjukhuset Hospital belongs to the Perioperative Care and Intensive Care (PVI) business area. This area also includes surgical, anaesthetic, and intensive care staff. In total, we have approximately 650 employees.

The Sterile Technology Centre is responsible for the sterilization, storage, and distribution of instruments and materials to the surgical operations around the clock. What we deliver is directly crucial for ensuring that surgeries can be performed safely and on time.

We are now looking for a Supply Technician who wants to play a central role in this flow.

The position is physically active and varied – you move through the hospital's corridors and wards and typically take 15,000–20,000 steps per day. For those who enjoy being active and do not want to sit still, this is a clear advantage. The work also involves some heavy lifting, making good physical fitness a prerequisite.

Responsibilities

The Sterile Technology Centre's mission is to manage the entire sterilization process of instruments for the surgical departments at Södersjukhuset, as well as for customers both within and outside the hospital. We are also responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing factory-sterile disposable materials and basic drapes to surgical operations and sterile stores.

In this role, you are responsible for ensuring that sterile and clean materials are in the right place, in the right quantity, and at the right time. Duties include, among other things:

• Receiving, checking, and unpacking goods from Medicarrier and other suppliers.
• Preparing basic drapes according to the surgical planning system Orbit.
• Restocking and maintaining order in sterile and clean stores in surgical departments.
• Restocking pass-through cabinets in operating rooms.
• Approving autoclave processes and inspecting sterile goods before storage.
• Transporting and collecting materials within the hospital.
• Registering, ordering, and billing in the material management system Clockwork.

Qualifications

• Education or experience in logistics, warehouse management, or healthcare (e.g., assistant nurse).
• Accustomed to working structured with high precision in an environment where errors have consequences.
• Ability to prioritize and reprioritize throughout the day without losing attention to detail.
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
• Good physical fitness and endurance.

Merits:

• Experience from sterile technology operations or hospital environments.
• Knowledge of or experience with Clockwork or similar material ordering systems.
• Experience with the surgical planning system Orbit.
• Interest in medical technology and high hygiene awareness.

Conditions

Permanent position, full-time (37 hours/week). Day, evening, and weekend shifts.
