About the Role
We are looking for an Orthodontic Assistant who thrives in a fast-paced, digital environment and has a passion for patient interaction. In this role, you will work with the latest patented technology in orthodontics and become part of a team shaping the future of the industry.
Responsibilities
- Communicate with patients in a friendly, helpful, and enthusiastic manner.
- Build strong patient relationships and create a sense of security through professional, attentive, and knowledgeable interactions.
- Be solution-oriented and proactive in answering patients' questions and concerns.
- Manage the entire visit experience: prepare for appointments, review patient records, brief the clinician, prepare composite trays, sterilize equipment, organize the examination room, export scans/X-rays, and maintain accurate medical notes.
- Manage patient flow to ensure both your work and the clinician's work are efficient and the schedule is kept.
- Perform independent tasks, such as indirect bonding of orthodontic attachments and handling dental tools.
- Assist the clinician in four-handed dentistry, chairside assistance, and specialized cases involving braces (brackets).
- Maintain clinic equipment, such as scanners, X-ray machines, and dental chairs.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed by the entire clinical team by assisting in safety training and collaborating with the safety committee.
- Contribute to the clinic's development by creating exceptional patient experiences that exceed expectations.
- Proficiently handle tools such as intraoral scanners, intraoral cameras, and other dental hand instruments.
Requirements
- Previous experience working in dentistry and assisting with clinical procedures.
- A team player who is unpretentious and ready to help where needed.
- Ability and willingness to work on-site at the clinic every day.
- Adaptable and flexible - you are motivated by working in an environment of constant development.
- Cooperative, empathetic, patient, and equipped with a positive attitude.
- Fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with digital record systems, X-rays, intraoral scanners, and handling digital files.
