Danvikshem is run by the Danviks Hospital Foundation, which has been providing care and social services since the mid-1500s and is Sweden's oldest active foundation. For centuries, our goal has been to provide good care, food, and shelter to those in need with kindness and consideration.

Today, we are approximately 280 colleagues working together to provide a meaningful life and the best possible care to those we serve. Our core values are consideration as the foundation – professional competence as the means – quality of life as the goal. As a non-profit organization, we reinvest our surplus into our operations.

About the Workplace

Danvikshem is a nursing home with 226 residents. We have 15 permanent nurses, two of whom are pool nurses. As a nurse, you work during daytime hours and every sixth weekend. Outside of these hours, there is a nurse on duty 24/7.

About the Role

As a nurse, you are responsible for and lead the nursing care at Danvikshem. You mentor, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing interventions in a practical manner, ensuring they are carried out in collaboration with other healthcare and social care staff. You work alongside dedicated and knowledgeable colleagues in a team consisting of assistant nurses, care assistants, unit manager, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and doctors. Documentation is done in the Welfare system.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with a genuine interest in elderly care, as well as personal maturity and confidence in your professional role.

You are engaged, flexible, and take initiative. You adapt easily to changes and make decisions with good judgment. You have a relationship-building approach, good teamwork skills, and establish good contacts with colleagues, residents, and relatives. Together with the unit manager, you create conditions for stability and development and contribute to achieving the unit's and organization's goals.

Your Experience

We are looking for you who:

  • are a licensed nurse with at least 2 years of experience
  • have very good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written
  • have experience in elderly care or geriatrics
  • have experience with quality registers such as Senior Alert, the Palliative Register, and BPSD
Other Information About the Recruitment

The application deadline is 2026-07-26.

We offer a probationary employment.

We look forward to receiving your application!
