Scandic Star Sollentuna is located just a few steps from Sollentuna's commuter train station and 17 minutes to the city center. We have the capacity to host 500 guests for dining, conferences, and accommodation under one roof, making the hotel the perfect venue for large meetings and congresses. We are now looking for a Service Host for Scandic Star's conference department.

Regardless of why the guest visits us, few things are as appreciated as a friendly face welcoming them. As a Service Host, you act as a host together with the rest of the hotel team, creating a world-class guest experience.

In the role of Service Host, you work within one or several areas of responsibility, all of which contribute to the guest's overall experience. During your time with us, these areas may vary as you and the business develop. You will work in our conference department and at the reception. Here, you are given significant responsibility to make the decisions required to ensure guest satisfaction. The team continuously develops and improves its methods and service as the external environment changes. What does the role of Service Host entail?

As someone working in the conference area, you are an important ambassador for both Scandic as a chain, but especially for Star and our guests' meeting experience. Therefore, it is crucial that you have a warm demeanor, are attentive to details, and aware of the guests' needs. You have a burning interest in service and enjoy order and structure, both in your own work and that of your colleagues, all to provide our guests with a fantastic meeting experience. Your main tasks include conference operations, such as welcoming guests in the morning, preparing coffee breaks, being helpful throughout the day, assisting with technical questions, and much more. No two days are alike.

Who are you?

To fit the role, we believe you have at least one year of experience in similar work and experience in concept-driven operations. Since the job largely consists of communicating with guests, fluent Swedish and good knowledge of English are prerequisites. Speaking an additional language is an advantage.

However, the most important factors are your personal qualities and attitude. To fit the role, you need to be an attentive and egoless team player who takes great responsibility for your tasks and the overall results. It is also important that you can convey good hospitality to the hotel's guests.

Information about the position:

The position is a fixed-term part-time employment starting in August until the end of November, with the possibility of extension.
