Our Operations

Restaurang Kajutan is located in Djuröhemmet. We serve our residents breakfast, lunch, afternoon coffee, and dinner daily. A large part of what we cook is made from scratch. Our restaurant is also open to the public. We are open every day of the year.

Your Role

In the role of cook, your duties will include food preparation, salad buffet, baking, serving, stock picking, cleaning, and helping with dishwashing. We are a close-knit team that helps each other in all areas within the kitchen and large-scale catering. You will work in an open kitchen and will therefore meet our residents and staff daily. We are looking for a cook who is interested in working every other weekend but also jumping in when needed.

Your Experience

We are looking for you who have at least a high school education in food, such as the food program or equivalent.

Relevant work experience in similar roles is required. It is important that you have experience specifically in large-scale kitchens (storkök).

You possess good knowledge of allergens, special diets, HACCP, self-control, and food hygiene/handling.

Naturally, you have a genuine interest in cooking.

As a person, you have high social competence and can communicate and understand Swedish fluently, both in speech and writing, as communication is important in the role. Furthermore, you are responsible, flexible, and have a great interest in people. You are self-reliant and feel confident in your professional role.

A language test may become relevant.
