About the Role

Expandia is looking for a Product Engineer specializing in CAD who wants to take a key role in the development of our technical solutions and working methods. Here, you combine technical expertise with development, coordination, and knowledge sharing in a business where innovation and quality are in focus.

In this role, you are responsible for developing and maintaining the group's common drawing standards and CAD templates, as well as creating production drawings for both internal and external manufacturing. You will become an important specialist resource supporting the organization with CAD-related questions and contributing to ensuring high quality in our building technology documentation.

You serve as a key technical support in building technology issues throughout the entire project chain. The role also involves identifying and driving improvements in both products and work processes to strengthen efficiency and quality in our product development.

As a Product Engineer, you play a central role in our continued development and work closely with the operations. You help ensure that our modules maintain high technical quality while contributing to the development of sustainable construction processes where quality, efficiency, and environmental consideration go hand in hand.

The position is located at our office in Västerås. Expandia has a total of approximately 105 employees distributed across seven offices in the Nordic region. You will become part of a product team with three engaged colleagues, one located in Klippan and the others in Västerås. You report to the Product Manager.

Your Main Responsibilities

• Responsible for developing, quality assuring, and implementing documentation that supports project execution, such as instructions, manuals, routines, and control materials.
• Identify, analyze, and drive improvement proposals throughout the entire product development process – from idea to implemented solution.
• Ensure high quality by planning and conducting quality controls of modules during deliveries, renovations, and in factories.
• Conduct spot checks of quality during the assembly and disassembly of modules at construction sites and in factories.
• Contribute with building technology calculations and analyses.
• Contribute to knowledge development by sharing experiences regarding new solutions, changes, and improvement initiatives.
• Participate in the analysis and investigation of causes of errors and quality defects to identify improvement measures and strengthen product development.
• Create documentation for the renovation and conversion of modules.
• Handle invoices related to your own area of responsibility.
• In addition to the above tasks, your role will have a special focus on drawing production and internal drawing training, and you will be driving the development of internal CAD competence.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who want to become part of a really good team in a strong corporate culture and who want to develop in an exciting and future-oriented industry.

You have a civil engineering degree in construction of at least three years, or equivalent knowledge and experience that we assess as comparable.
